They do remind me of cats in a way -- they're so agile among the rocks and
tree limbs -- and they can sit perfectly still and silent for hours at a
time. They don't speak often, but when they do -- except in the presence
of danger -- they bring their faces very close together and murmur, accompanying
this musical speech with astonishing expressions and gestures that incorporate
the whole body. It's rather arousing to watch two of them doing this, and
the others, if there are more than just the two present, seem as rapt by
this performance as I am. It may last only a few moments, or go on for what
seems like an hour or more, but it always seems to break off abruptly, when
one of them simply turns and moves away.
